North Carolina Youth Soccer Association State Cups

Welcome to the NCYSA State Cup Series page. 

NCYSA offers State Championship competition at all levels of play, as well as Festival matches at all three levels.  Please see the links below on each individual cup.

Registration for Fall State Cups and individual websites are not yet available but will be soon!

The USYS NCYSA Spring State Cup

The US Youth Soccer NCYSA Spring State Cup is open to girls' ages U13, U14, U19; and boys' ages U13-U19. This Cup is the most competitive Cup that is offered and play-in matches could occur (if your team competes in a play-in match and loses, you will receive a refund).

The NCYSA President's Kepner Cup

The NCYSA President's Kepner Cup is open to girls' ages U13-U14; boys' ages U13-U18. This is open to Classic teams that are NON-Premier level (1st and 2nd division teams only). Other levels of play (Rec and Challenge) are accepted on an as-needed basis only.

The NCYSA Spring Festivals

The NCYSA Spring Festivals are for all levels of play. The Festivals are:

• The NCYSA Classic Festival - Boys and Girls U11, U12
• The NCYSA Challenge Festival - Boys and Girls U10, U11, U12
• The NCySA Recreation Festival - Boys, Girls, Coed U8, U9, U10, U11, U12

The NCYSA Spring Challenge State Cup

The NCYSA Spring Challenge State Cup is open to girls' age U13-U14; boys' ages U13-U18. The Cup is open to Challenge teams only.

The USYS NCYSA Fall State Cup

The US Youth Soccer NCYSA Fall State Cup is the most competitive Cup that we offer. It is open to girl's age U15-U18. Play-in matches could occur for entry (if your team competes in a play-in match and loses, you will receive a refund.

The NCYSA President's Fall State Cup

The NCYSA President's Fall State Cup is open to Classic teams that are NON-Premier (1st and 2nd Division only). The ages are for girls U15-U18. Teams could play-in to the tournament. Teams competing in a play-in match and losing, would receive a refund of their entry.

The NCYSA Recreation State Cup

The NCYSA Recreation State Cup is open to boys and girls teams in the U13-U18 age divisions. The Cup is for Recreation teams only.

The NCYSA Recreation Fall Festival

The NCYSA Recreation Fall Festival is open to Recreation boys and girls teams in the following ages: U8, U9, U10, U11, U12.

 The NCYSA Challenge Fall State Cup

The NCYSA Challenge Fall State Cup is open to girls' Challenge teams in the U15-U18 age divisions.

You can sign up for messaging to keep up with the scores of games you can't attend.  Your family and friends at home can also keep up with your results.

Of course, we'll be posting the scores online ASAP and will show the standings and tie-breakers as the tournament progresses.

NCYSA State Cups now offer Online Registration. Teams will register their team online and may pay via credit card or mail a check! Click on the Cup link you wish to apply for, READ THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION link and go to REGISTER link at the top of the page!

NOTE: For the Classic State Cups (USYS and President's/Kepner) - Any Play-In Match, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final or Championship Match that is tied at the end of regulation play - will be played with:

U15 and older - two-full, 15-minute OT periods (no golden goal). If still tied at the end of two periods - FIFA kicks from the mark.
U14 and younger - two-full, 10-minute OT periods (no golden goal). If still tied at the end of two periods - FIFA kicks from the mark.

Online Registration

Teams are required to use the online registration process to apply to play in the NCYSA State Cup Series. Teams also have the option of paying online with a credit card or mailing a check.

However, all teams must still MAIL in the official red-stamped roster and the certified registrars form found here

Association Presidents are required to submit a list of teams from their club that are applying to play in any of the Cups in the NCYSA State Cup Series.
